18 hours a day for 3 weeks all leading up to an all-nighter this morning.  Finally call it a site and go to sleep at around 7:45am, Network Timeout Errors by Noon.  I know I promised a series on Joomla! Migration, but I'd like to take a quick moment to share with my readers what could have been one of the biggest nightmares of this website...

Today at approximately 3:30am EST we launched our latest version of this community, codenamed Insight.  Migrating from the beautifully simple Wordpress CMS to it's much bigger, some say, much uglier cousin Joomla! is a big enough switch to warrant about 4 hours of error handling and bug fixing and suprisingly enough, thats about how long it took me.  With 3 redbulls in 7 hours finally losing their steam, I was finally satisfied in the site to call it a night at around 7:30am.  Asleep by 7:45...

I get woken up at noon today to the frantic calls of Bryan,  "Matt uh...the site's not working...I think it might be the hosting company, their site's down too."  5 Double Latte's can't wake you up that quick.  Turns out, around 11:25am today, site traffic hit an all-time record, 17,905 simultaneous visitors to the site.  Our hosting company, which I have stood by for 2 and a half years, and continue to stand by them, was prepared.  It was one of the miriad of ISP's in central florida that wasn't.

As of now, the network issue is back online and we are again operating at full speed.  I'd like to personally thank all of those responsible in making, quite literally, my worst nightmare come true...
